The following expectations will help you to be successful in my class, as well as many areas of your life. Having the discipline to follow these expectations will not only help you succeed in my class, but will also help prepare you for life after high school.

Expectations:

  • Come to class ready to learn.

  • Be responsible for your own learning.

  • Do not make excuses- do what you are supposed to do when you are supposed to do it.

  • Do not get behind.

  • Check the whiteboard daily.

  • Listen and take notes during class lectures.

Learning is our #1 goal. In order for learning to take place, there must be rules and consequences. Having rules with consequences will allow our classroom to run in a smooth and orderly fashion.

In order to make sure that ALL students know the rules:

  • On the first day of school, we will go over all of the rules in detail.
  • You will sign a contract stating that you understand each rule and consequence.
  • We will review the rules daily the first week of school to make sure that everyone has a clear understanding of them.
  • The list of rules will be clearly posted in the classroom at all times.

Classroom Rules

  • Arrive on time with all required materials.

  • Be courteous and respectful to your classmates, your teacher, and your school.

  • Keep hands, feet, and other objects to yourself.

  • Stay on task.

  • Do not leave your seat unless you are given permission to do so.

Consequences

  • Each infraction result in 1 demerit.
  • 5 demerits result in a letter sent home to your parents.
